Overview

The Competition Authority’s main task

is to solve disputes related to airport fees and to proceed complaints filed by airport users.

If an airport operator and the airport’s users have not reached an agreement concerning new fee rates then both the airport operator and the airport users may turn to the Competition Authority with an application asking for investigation of the justification of changing the fee rates. If an airport user finds that the airport operator violates the tasks set out for the airport operator in this Act and the dispute between the airport user and the airport operator has not been solved through negotiations then the airport user shall have the right to turn to the Competition Authority with a complaint.
