On 1 November 2021, AS Narva Soojusvõrk published a notice that it intends to start purchasing heat energy in 2026 at the latest and asks heating undertakings to announce their wish to sell heat energy. The deadline for submitting applications is 1 December 2021.
On 22 July 2021, the Competition Authority informed the company of the obligation to prepare a tender for the purchase of heat energy and publish a corresponding notice no later than 1 November 2021, as the heat supply in the Narva network area is no longer economically efficient and does not meet modern environmental requirements.
